Sonic Element was formed by Amber Naqvi in 1999. Amber is a qualified acoustic consultant specialising in the acoustic design and construction of recording studios, TV and Film post production facilities, critical listening rooms and performance spaces. In 1993 he began his career as a consultant with a UK based, world-leading acoustic consultancy. Since then Amber, with his associates has worked on more than 200 acoustic design and construction projects spread around four continents, with responsibility for developing the acoustic design of the projects from the scheme stage to completion. Since its formation, Sonic Element has developed a diverse portfolio of project in the UK, Europe and the Far East.
We have extensive experience in the following areas:
Project planning and co-ordination of acoustic and engineering design.
Acoustic commissioning and measurements of commercial and residential facilities.
Development of project specification to Dolby, THX, ITU, ISO and EBU standards.
Computer modelling of architectural and acoustic spaces for noise control and modal behaviour.
Design of custom made acoustic absorbers, reflectors and diffusers.
We have considerable experience in all matters related to architectural acoustic design and detailing. In our usual professional capacity, we are responsible for developing the acoustic design of the project from the scheme stage and carry out acoustic testing and measurements at pre defined stages of the project right down to the final commissioning stage. We have hands on experience in all aspects of acoustic design of commercial and residential projects; in particular acoustic isolation, interior acoustic elements and electro-acoustic systems to the current industry standards. We use several CAD and acoustic modelling systems. We use MLSSA (industry standard acoustic measurement system) and several other real time analysers and sound sources for conventional and binaural acoustic measurements.
